I got bored @ work & decided to give Bandit Lures a plug.

I like them Bandit's....

They are awesome for reds. The first thing you need to do is change the hooks. #6 VMC 4x strong is what I use. The hook that come on the lures are made for bass & will break very easily if you hook a nice red.

Will have to try it on some reds...thanks for the tip on the hook change out.

I was wondering what series of Bandit lures is good for redfish. I have been looking into hard plastic baits and top water baits good for redfish and also trout. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I like the 100 series. Just set your drag loose or you will break the hooks off.

What color seems to work best?

What size or number bit do you use?

I need all the help I can get.

Chrome black back
chrome blue back
pearl chartreuse back
spring crawfish

100 series

All the one smoke listed I have used and have had good results. I did go out and get a couple of other colors that produce good also. They were the fire tiger which is green with black strips an chart belly for the stained water along with the Chart Blue back with a orange belly. In stained to muddy water they produce real good and CHANGE THE HOOKS AS SMOKE ADVISED. One med size red broke three factory hooks one morning and came off in the net, cause I was to lazy to change the night before.
